See What We Do
For over 30 years we have created designs for a variety of learning environments including: instructor-led classroom training, independent study, video training, dynamic learning activities (DLAs), mock-ups, team training, e-learning, simulations and scenarios.
We implement design models (processes) that works well for the targeted learning environment, including forms of the ADDIE process, the Successive Approximation Method and the principles outlined in David Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction (Pebble in the Pond model).
We incorporate proven Instructional Design Strategies which help to streamline the development of subject content and develop course prototypes early in the process to ensure that we and our clients are all on the same page! Prototypes are perfect for visualizing interactive activities and ensuring media elements function correctly.
Learning Design Company partners with you to help you meet your organization’s training goals and obligations. We offer a variety of custom development services that will meet your needs and is kind to your budget.
A careful combination of game design and game mechanics along with sound instructional design can result in engaging and effective learning experiences for your employees or customers.
For example, if you want to engage new employees during their onboarding training sessions, consider incorporating gamification elements that help create a positive environment for learning.
This approach works perfectly for your product information and customer training. (Remember that secret code or treasure chest scratch-off in the product information?)
If critical thinking and decision making is the goal then Game-based learning; incorporating scenarios and simulated exercises, create highly effective and engaging learning environments that increase learner retention and positive behavior outcomes.
This is one of our most asked-for authoring tools. A solid, well-performing course development software that we have used since version 1.,
A solid and powerful development tool we prefer for software simulation training but is flexible enough for any type of training course. Our experience with Captivate begins back in the early 2000’s.
We leverage elements from both of these well-known families of graphic and desktop publishing products.
The tool our clients ask for the most!
A flexible and powerful authoring software that has outstanding 508 compliance support. We’ve been developing with Lectora since 2003.
We use Camtasia to produce the bulk of our video training media. In addition, we use other video development tools for our whiteboard animations, and special effects.
R.I.P Flash… We’ve moved on to animation software producing clean HTML5.
Consider scenarios, simulated exercises and game-based learning approaches to increase learner engagement!
